The Floating Girls by Lo Patrick
3.0

Told from the POV of Kay, the youngest in the Whitaker family, The Floating Girls is a Georgian marsh mystery that will have you wanting to make an evidence board. Be prepared for a zigzagging storyline, plenty of red herrings, and a talkative southern twelve year old. The humidity seeps off every page and I felt I was running along route 54 alongside Kay and her three older brothers. If you enjoyed Where The Crawdads Sing, then you NEED to read this.

Read with a side of southern humidity, cicadas serenading you, and a note pad if you want to try and solve this mystery.
