The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

4.0

The book follows Don Tillman, an highly intelligent man who is struck by the notion that he must find a wife. Socially inept and a little awkward, Don devises a questionaire to narrow his search, the "Wife Project" to suitable candidates only. By fate, he meets Rosie, a quirky and unpredictable woman who is completely unsuitable. He agrees to help her find her biological father, and this joint venture teaches Don about love, friendship and how life was meant to be lived without a schedule.

A lot of people remark on Don's resemblance to Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory." I likened him more to BBC's Sherlock; though highly intelligent, his lack of comprehension of emotions and humanity sometimes cloud his judgement and understanding of the world. His charm and quirkiness make him not just likable, but endearing. The Rosie Project is a lovely, charming, quirky romantic comedy, about the trouble we go to just to find love.
