Poison Study
by Maria V. Snyder
I finally understand why this is Maria V. Synder's best and well-known book! She is definitely a queen and a pioneer in writing fantasy novels. My first MVS book was [b:Touch of Power|10445208|Touch of Power (Healer, #1)|Maria V. What I loved about this book is that it is a beautifully-written and cleverly plotted story! It has the right amount of magic, politics, and social issues that it wasn't too overwhelming and I found myself reading a big chunk of it in a short amount of time. I love the whole plotting and scheming going on with Yelena and the other characters, and there were definitely some parts that I didn't not expect at all to happen. This book didn't also focused on the romance part, which I adored. It was more on the secondary plot, but I enjoyed it also just the same.
I can't wait to read the next book! And I just read that there are novellas that I still need to read too!
