The first 2/3 of the book felt more like a memoir, with the chapters covering bits and pieces of the main character’s childhood, and then the rest of it focuses on her highschool life and her discovering that she is gay. The switch of the pacing of the book made it a bit disjointed. Also the ending line of each chapter felt a bit cheesy to me. I thought it was okay overall.
