I can only rate these books against themselves/the others in the series, and this book is by far my favorite of all of them. No, it’s not a literary masterpiece. No, it’s not winning awards for groundbreaking fantasy, but it’s entertaining and fun. I enjoyed Nesta as a main character way more than I ever enjoyed Feyre as the main character, Nesta’s journey of healing and feeling worthy of love was a strong and encouraging story. Her romance was passionate and paced well, and the plot seemed to move nicely though I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Granted, I would have read and enjoyed it if the book was 1000 pages long.
