Obnoxiously and unnecessarily long

Not only was this obviously and unnecessarily long, it was boring and it discredited so many characters.
Hudson became nothing more than -the mate- a prop to lean on. Ever chapter we saw Grace crumble to give herself pep talks and fit into a forced character arch. So many great characters went no where, like no where. The end was anticlimactic. This could have been a 250 pg Novella and it still would have been too long. I loved the first one, while the second and third weren't my favorite, compared to this they are masterpieces. This book had no business being almost 1000 pages.
