Usually Modglin's books are 4 stars for me, but this one was 3 1/2. It was a decent read but just a little flat. Wes and his wife Addy are having marital problems, and Wes ends up kicked out of his house. With little disposable income, it's a lucky break when he runs into an old high school acquaintance who offers up his extra bedroom for Wes to stay in as long as he needs to. It doesn't take long, though, before Wes starts finding his new roommate, Elias, to be a strange character, and things start happening that are both inexplicable and frightening. Is Wes losing it or is something going on? It won't take long for him to find out.
