Thanos Rising (Marvel Now) by

Thanos was an amazing villain in the Marvel movies so when I found that there is an origin to Thanos as a character, I had to check it out.
I really enjoyed this fast read graphic novel. I think that his origin story was very unique and there were times (especially at the beginning) where my heart tugged for him. Young Thanos was such a cinnamon roll and so pure and innocent but one event changed everything.
When that specific thing happened, he started to get dark and it was interesting to delve deeper into his twisted mind. He could have gone a better route but he didn’t (that’s why he is a villain).
There was another character who was mysterious throughout the story and influenced (bad influence) the way Thanos handled in every situation.
My only complaint is that the story went on too quickly and I wished that we got more time to see him gradually turn evil. Other than that, great origin story and I highly recommend it if you want to know more about the character.
