One Summer in Santorini by Sandy Barker

4.0

This book has been on my TBR list since it was first released, and after a rather challenging week, I decided it was time to retreat into romance. Sandy Barker's One Summer in Santorini was the balm my soul needed - an escape to the Greek Isles as told to me by a character who sounded a lot like one of my friends telling me about a recent holiday, with some unexpected romance!

In this gorgeous read, Barker strikes a lightning rod into the wild variation of thought that many women have as they rejoin the world after a relationship breakup. From insecurity to bubbly self-confidence to 'What.Was.I.Thinking!', it's all captured in the central character's voice that I just adored.

Add in the stunning setting of sailing around the Greek Islands, "Hello boat-sun-water-FOOD-potential romance", and this is an ideal escape. If you want to do a little armchair traveling and indulge in some romance, One Summer in Santorini delivers everything you could want.
