I enjoyed reading this so much and then was Everly disappointed in the end. I can't explain why without spoilers, though.
I then started the second book, Children of God, and found that bogging down.
Also the continuation of the story in the second book reinforced my disappointment with the first book.
But I will leave the door starts.
