Eight Days To Live by Iris Johansen

3.0

I am confused. It's half n half for me when I read Eight Days To Live. It's tagged as an Eve Duncan novel but oh boy, it focuses on Jane McGuire to which I think it shouldn't have been included as part of the E.D. series. Not the usual forensic mystery but more of like a religious escapade.

I gotta say the story wasn't that 'captivating'. The plot and the characters were just too bland. It could've been better. Although, I kind of liked how Johansen brought in some Christian references to which she linked them into that ancient inhumane cult. I'm betting that I ain't the only one getting irritated by Jane's stubbornness.
