Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover, and Me by Adrienne Brodeur

5.0

4.5 stars. My only complaint was the somewhat rushed wrap up in the final 2 chapters that tied bows around all the characters and brought everything to resolution. I understood why it was included, it just drastically changed pace compared to the rest of the story. Otherwise a beautifully written memoir with a nod to the powers of books and reading! The setting of cape cod was brought to life. Rich descriptions of detail surrounding food as well. Narrated by Julia Whelan who is one of the best on audio, in my opinion.
