Sea of Ruin
by Pam Godwin
I devoured this book like it was rum-soaked revenge and forbidden kisses. Was it mostly predictable? Yes. Insta-love-y? Absolutely. Did I care? Not even a little.
It’s dark, it’s spicy, it’s utterly unhinged—and I couldn’t stop reading. Even when I saw the twists sailing in from a mile away, I was all in. Bennett is everything I want in a heroine: fierce, emotionally scarred, and constantly one bad day away from snapping a man’s neck with her bare hands.
This one’s for anyone who lives for pirate queens, emotionally wrecked men, and plot twists that try to hit like a hurricane— though let’s be real… I saw it coming like a ship on the horizon. Nice try, though.
Heads-up though—this book is dark. Like, trauma buffet with extra spice dark. Definitely check the trigger warnings before you set sail. There are rough waters ahead, and they don’t come with soft landings.
"I came for the pirates. I stayed for the chaos and emotional damage."
