Bad Boys Break Hearts by Micalea Smeltzer

4.0

I was worried I wasn't going to enjoy this book.

At the beginning, the characters were getting on my nerves, the writing style felt awkward, and the slow burn was killing me. Literally. They didn't even touch each other until 2/3 of the way in.

Nonetheless, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I'm glad I did. It was intriguing, spicy, and cute. Realistic.

Smeltzer did a good job of portraying the characters' thoughts and emotions, but the writing style was so...weird. Awkward. It felt there was more "tell" than "show" at times. Forced, maybe?

Whatever the case may be, it was a good book through and through. Always love a good enemies to lovers.
