Girl Who Knew Too Much
by Vikrant Khanna
What is the book about?
A girl named Akshara has just lost her mother in a car accident. Due to grief and loneliness, she sits in a park in solitude where one day she meets a young boy Harry. Harry tries to talk to Akshara and comes to know of her misery. He decides to tell her a story of his life, to make her believe that dead ones can return to our lives. So if Harry is telling the truth, can dead ones return to life? or is he just making things up?
WHAT DID I LIKE?
Really easy language hence is beginner-friendly.
Any age group can read.
Some topics that are hard-hitting like life after death, many many gods, etc are discussed in a light-hearted way that one may not even realize that something serious is been discussed
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE?
The end could have been much more impactful. The book could have got a lot of praise, in the end, would have left readers flabbergast.
There was no such girl in the book that was able to justify the title, "The girl who knew too much".
FINAL VERDICT
Good for teens. Elder may find it a bit monotonous.
