The Boy In Makeup by Anthony Connors-Roberts

4.0

The Boy in Makeup is about a boy who loved makeup and Ariana Grande and how he found his soulmate in a future football star.

Cory James loves makeup and his friend, Lizzie is the only person who stands up for him at school. Even then, Lizzie can't speak up against everyone as there are limitations. Still, Cory is thankful to her for always being there for him. Ben, a future rising football star shows interest in him and thus begins their journey of exploring their identity and relationship.

I loved Cory, Lizzie, and Ben.

The book is narrated wonderfully without anything unnecessary being added to it. The character development is excellently portrayed.

The book addresses a lot of stereotypes and I like how the characters found a solution to every problem they faced.
