A very warm, uplifting, life affirming story. As with many of Mike Gayle’s books a situation is taken and expanded upon. I think the character of Connor is well written, it highlights his view of the World and the challenges that produces. I enjoy the two hander format of the story, it always helps to get the dual perspective.
Overall I liked the book, and read many of the authors early works, but at times I found the story a bit too sweet, so maybe not so many Gayle books in the future.
