Before you read this review, keep in mind that I hate contemporary books.
I loved this book. It is by far the best contemporary book that I’ve ever read.
Finding Audrey made me laugh, which is one of the best things a book can do. The family dynamic was quirky and laughable and there was plenty of sarcasm.
One of the things that I think needs to be cleared up about this book is the blurb. The blurb sells this book as another “love fixes mental illness” book and that is not it at all. Linus, the love interest, helps Audrey improve and start to overcome her illness, but never “fixes” her. He is a person for Audrey to talk to and lean on.
The romance was a bit weird at first, but it grew on me. It wasn’t a huge part of the book, but it was still a major part of it (if that makes any sense).

Overall, I found Finding Audrey to be light, quirky and heartwarming. For being the best contemporary book I’ve ever read I award it 4.5 stars.
