First re-read. Love this book and as I’m listening I’m taking in just how good a job the movie did of capturing the book. There were obviously a few differences but they got a LOT of details right and only missed a few significant things. What really kills me is how little of a personality Katniss has. Of course I think some of that can be attributed to her need for survival her whole life. But her character is def a large flaw of this book.
Graphic: Violence, Torture, Fire/Fire injury, Animal death, Alcohol, Child death, Death, Death of parent, Vomit, Suicidal thoughts, Murder, Injury/Injury detail, Grief, Gore, Classism, Blood, and Alcoholism
Moderate: Police brutality, War, and Slavery
