Oh boy. I have a lot of issues with this one. I was so excited to read it, too! Jessica Clare, what happened? Why would you write such a creepy, stalkery, overbearing, manipulative, scary alpha male Hero? And I hate to say it but your heroine was mega boring. I had high hopes for this one, and they were all dashed. Not fun, not cute, not sexy, just... scary, really. I really loathe books that take this kind of "Hero" and paint his terrible, possessive, unhealthy attributes as, like, the ultimate way he can care for his Heroine. I don't THINK so. Do not make that kind of behavior acceptable--and especially don't make it into a GOOD thing! (He watches her before he even meets her or knows her, manipulates the first meeting, destroys her possessions so he can buy her new and better ones, lies to her, tracks her phone (that he gave her) via the GPS, taps into the security feed at her job so he can watch her, etc. etc. These are obvious stalker signs. The Heroine actually admits he's exhibiting these behaviors, and she defines them as "stalkerish" but then in the next paragraph practically, she wonders if it's okay that he's a stalker because she thinks he's hot.

No.

Pass.

Don't read this one, you guys. Read Jessica Clare's other books. (They still have issues with possessive, overbearing alpha males, but they don't cross the line--at least not as much--as this one does)
