Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

5.0

This book was so emotionally heartfelt. It’s about Michelle the author going through her process of grief with losing her mother as well as her aunt and as a Korean-American her experience throughout her life and feeling like a part of her culture is now missing due losing her family.
After losing my Gigi (grandma) i’ve really been having a hard time with my process of grieving and her being Filipino I also felt that a part of me is missing the things she did in the food she would cook for us whenever I came to visit her.
I cried a lot during this book but I also laughed throughout it and no matter your heritage or where you are from I think this is an incredible book if you are going through a process of grieving yourself.
