A Time for Dancing by Davida Wills Hurwin

You know those books where you know about the tragic ending from page one and it still hits you like a truck? Yeah. I readily prepared for this sure to be heartbreaker by reading it in one sitting, a sitting of which the cry lasted as long as the read. Part of this is due to the fact that the sobs start halfway through, constant until the end and quite long after. I hope I’m doing an apt job of explaining that if you need a good cry, this book is most definitely your solution. Part of the reason this is such a tearjerker is because of the relatable friendship points mixed evenly with the pure and hilarious friendship points you dream of everyday. A simple read, but a good one at that- *cue unwanted tears coming back at the memory* My most important takeaway from this book was the several lessons it taught. I won’t spoil these beauties, but can guarantee you’ll carry them with you for life. I’m choosing not to read the sequel simply because the ending was too pure and I seek out emotional damage in a way that’s not healthy haha.
