I had not come into this volume with the best impression of the main characters, intially. Mostly because of people on social media grouping him in with other pervy anime main characters which I do not like. It was reccomeneded by a friend thought and I decided to give it a try since it was free at my local library.
It was definetely a pleasant surprise. Denji was so different from the characters I'd seen him compared to it was weird to me that anyone even mentioned them toghether.
It's a really interesting exploration on love, sex and gender that you don't often see in shonen manga.
I must say I probably enjoyed it in a very different way from most people.
