Lost Boy by Ker Dukey
4.0

I don’t usually fall for the mystery genre, but this was a romance/mystery twist. Ker Dukey wrote a twist of a novel that started off with me not wanting to put this read down.
When they first said the “missing” description of Jack from when he was a child and it’s mentioned he has green eyes, you knew all along that Clark was Jack. The author kind of gave that away.

I honestly thought (yes, I’m naive) that Jack was indeed Willis’ son the entire time. I never expected the turn around that it was Liz being his daughter instead.
The whole Stephan twist was a bit of a shock to me as well. I didn’t pick up on any clues that he was the killer or that he and Liz were siblings. I genuinely thought he was just in love (a different kind of love) with Liz.

Charlotte, the daddy issue having best friend, is such a key to the character development that is Liz. I love that she’s present during this whole story, and that she stays true to herself. Her personality doesn’t really change throughout, and I loved it.

I couldn’t put this one down. I enjoyed it from cover to cover. Not really a fan of epilogues, but this one was short, sweet and got the ball moving.
