i'm only giving it a 2⭐ because i seriously believe that the first first two books were enough and maybe if the author so desperately wanted to stretch the story, then maybe the third one should have been the end of the series because it got very repetitive and i easily got bored when a particular chapter wasn't as interesting as the last.

i'm not very fond of how overused filler words are in the series as a whole and it got too much in this novel especially being the fourth one, filler words like "er..., um.., etc," was too much of a common occurrence and made it look like the author lacked in his literary skills when that isn't particularly the case when we look back at the first and second novel. i also wasn't too fond of the unnecessary dialogue as well, it felt like the author needed to make the characters say something just to add to the total word count. but despite the repetitiveness and other downsides of the novel, i folded each time i got to a really good chapter and that's what i like about this series, is that each new character's story is vastly different from the last although they've come to the cafe for the same purpose. what kept and keeps me coming back was how each of their experiences were different and how invested i became to see how it all turned out in the end.

i could definitely see why this particular series wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea after maybe the second, and even the first book, but i unfortunately fold everytime as my eagerness to find out how it all turns out is too strong for me to ignore.
