I just re-read it because i love her work and I also love ariel but this time i stumbled across the n word and some n@zi metaphors (i know her dad kind of sympathised with them even tho her mom was jewish?!) which just shows me that the white comfort of writing was present.
It bothered me this time because i missed the importance of the power of language but maybe this is just a personal issue I have here that makes me enjoy it less than reading it when I was 16 and uneducated in history.
