Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brené Brown

3.0

I'm not sure I'm 100% on the Brene Brown train yet but I can certainly appreciate some of her insights.

I struggled a bit with maintaining interest at points but I think there were still some insightful takeaways. I found the part about foreboding joy really relatable as well as her descriptions of "floodlighting" and "smash-and-grab" sharing as misguided ways of connection-seeking. I feel like this book is often recommended as part of leadership training but I almost feel like I got more out of it as an individual than as someone who manages people.

Overall... maaaaybe not quite as mind-blowing as the hype, but decent.
