Vanishing Acts
by Jodi Picoult
So, this was my first Jodi Picoult book. All I knew of her before was her fame and I had seen the movie adaptation of My Sister's Keeper. This book was amazing. The way the story is told gives you a holistic view of the events. Each chapter is narrated by a different character mixing present events, flashbacks, and philosophical insights (if that's the best term for it...maybe psychological insight is more fitting).
The characters are flawed, but sympathetic. The ending was satisfying but not perfect (and also not an exact opposite of perfect).
I can't wait to read the next book of Picoult's. Not sure yet which that will be for me.
