Starstruck by Amy Dawes is book one in the Starlight Studio Series and it’s so good. If you like books about celebrity romance, secret/hidden identity, on-set romance, with a strong FMC who is still trying to figure out her life then you will love this book.

Kat, a struggling actress who has to start  her life over after her boyfriend Dane breaks up with her and she gets a call from her agent dropping her. Her friend Rose helps her get a job as a personal assistant to an actor with a huge ego. It’s there that she meets him.

James “Alex” is an actor who works for his father’s studio. He is currently producing a film that has to do well in order to get a seat on the board. His father wants him to get into a publicity romance with Ava but when he meets Kat that seals his decision not to sign that contract.

I read this book in one sitting because it was so good. Kat is a strong FMC who is struggling and doesn’t feel good enough. James comes from a wealthy dysfunctional  family where his father cares more about his money and production company than his own kids. These characters are so relatable. I loved the side characters just as much as I did Kat and James. You should read this book and I cannot wait for book 2. I was given an ARC in exchange for my very late thoughts and opinions.
