Curvy Girls Can't Date Quarterbacks
by Kelsie Stelting
UGH!
I don't know if it was the YA aspect of this. I know the kids are HS age, but I wanted Rory to be a bit more mature. The whole back and forth on her self esteem got old FAST. The turn around from one minute to the next on her emotions was over whelming and frankly I skimmed a big portion of the book b/c of this.
I was so excited to read a book where the heroine has the same thing as me [PCOS]. While I wasn't diagnosed until my mid 20's after having my first child, it is something I've lived with for the past two decades.
The MOM drove me batty. I would have flipped my shit as a (hormonal) teen had my mom done even a sliver of what hers does.
I've never really been a fan of the lying and "going to tell" trope. So over played. I've always been on to speak my mind, so this always has me on edge to just TELL THEM.
