The fifth book in a series about superheroes in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.
St. George, Zzzap, Stealth, and the other heroes are still holding on to the Mount against the zombie hordes, with a constant struggle to keep the dead out, and the living fed. After a disastrous fire destroys much of their food source, they have to take a risk that may lead to more deaths.
And then Zzap discovers an island of boats floating in the Pacific--more survivors that could need help, or be a source of help for the Mount. Not everyone has survived by benign means, however--and this simple visit is going to turn out to be anything but.
Another adventure-packed story, with alternating points of view from the various heroes, moving between the past and present, revealing a few secrets as the plot unfolds. There's a little humor amid the fighting and struggles, and plenty of high-action scenes to keep your attention riveted. A great read for superhero, zombie, and dystopian fans.
