Ghostly Game by Christine Feehan

3.0

This is the lowest rating I have given for one of Christine's books as she is always a 5 star read for me, but this book was just blah for me. I can normally read one of her books in a day, but it took me three days to read this one as I kept putting it down as it was not holding my interest.

There was no Peter Whitney in the background trying to cause problems, there was nothing unusual aimed at the Ghostwalker team that Gideon is part of, though it was great getting back to some of the characters we have read about before. Everything that was going on was aimed at Rory and the ladies who lived in her building.

I felt no connection between Gideon and Rory. Gideon knew she was his, before even knowing who she was, just from the sound of her laugh. They both fell in love with each other so quickly even though most of their interactions were telepathic. Throughout the book, they actually spent very little time in each others company. There was not really any chemistry, that I could feel between them. There was very little intimacy between them and they did not get fully intimate until the last 4 pages of the book which is REALLY unusual when you have read as many of Christine's books as I have.

I expected more especially as I have read all of the books in this series and normally know what to expect. This book fell really flat. I hope the next book goes back to the usual standards.
