The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore

4.0

This book was so sweet. It took a little to get going, and I initially found the jump to a second character point of view a little jarring, but the love that the characters had for one another and then the forming of a scrappy book club made me smile. Loneliness isn't spoken about enough and it was great to see people of all walks of life portrayed that way. I didn't quite get all the book references, but I don't think you needed to, to get the overall themes. Great book to round out my 2023 book challenge.
