I was so excited about a(nother) BatB retelling. This book started SO SLOW, I nearly gave up but I got a little intrigued in some parts. VERY slow burn, payoff? Eh 🤷‍♀️ and the ending I found a bit lacking too. BEAUTIFUL writing!
