Too Late by Colleen Hoover

This was 50 shades of fucked up. But I still kind of liked it..

The first half of this book was me addicted and I seriously could not put it down. There were two points where my jaw DROPPED and I literally had to put down the book and stare at the wall. The last half of the book was a little harder to push through and the ending was kind of disappointing. I think I was constantly comparing this book to Verity (even though they aren't similar at all), cause I kept waiting for a BANG at the end.. but it never came. In other words, I was craving a plot twist at the end and it wasn't there.

<u>Sloan and Luke (Carter)</u>
We're dealing with some insta-love here. They meet within the first couple of chapters in a college class and immediately feel an attraction between them. But at the same time, Luke is an undercover cop trying to be-friend Sloan's boyfriend, Asa. I enjoyed Sloan and Luke in the beginning and ate up their secretive meetings and conversations, but then it got kind of old. Can they not just keep their hands off of each other for a COUPLE OF WEEKS??... It felt very immature at some points.

<i>"I won't let him hurt you</i> HAD ME ON MY KNEES THOUGH.

 <u>Asa</u>
This guy is the dumbest genius of all time. And I can't determine if he truly loved Sloan or not...

I've said time and time again that CoHo is not my favourite author and I've never truly enjoyed her books (Verity is a small exception), but this one surprised me a bit. I won't be jumping into her contemporary romances, but this was still a fun read.
