I think I liked this book better than the first one tbh. A great second instalment but still not the best.

In the beginning of the book how Perry and Aria said they were going to keep their distance from each other because of the Tides was short lived. I wanted more romantic tension they weren't even apart for very long and then BOOM they just couldn't bare the distance any longer. I feel like if they were apart for a while longer it would've made their connection a lot stronger.

I feel like it kinda got repetitive as well with the attacks and Aether storms although I do understand that they were added because it kept the storyline going.

I cannot believe Perry actually let Kirra get so close and just do what she wanted. He wasn't cautious enough, the whole time I did not trust her one bit and I knew it was a recipe for disaster. I actually expected him to keep a close eye on her but he didn't really.

This novel I actually found myself looking forward to the Aria chapters. The ongoing eyepiece meet ups with Soren was something I didn't expect I actually didn't think we would see him at all in this book.

And the whole situation in Rim.....Roar MY POOR BABY! If Aria hadn't been a stubborn bitch and taken the eyepiece out sooner then I swear Liv would've survived. FUCK. I was looking forward to seeing the cute humorous relationship between Liv and Roar that we were told about but I never got to see it! I felt so bad for Roar because I love him so much and then when Perry let Kirra get into his head about Roar and Aria being together! WTF PERRY?! THEN YOU JUST GO AND SHOVE MY BABY WHEN YOU SEE HIM AGAIN?! I actually really hated Perry in that moment. And Perry was going on and on about seeing Aria again and then when they finally found each other again they didn't even hug? Disappointed.

TBH I thought the ending was so rushed just like the ending to the first book. I feel like Veronica Rossi drags out the middle of her books and then rushes the ending. She needed to SLOW DOWN. It was too much for me I couldn't catch up.

Over all an awesome book and it definitely set up for a phenomenal finale.
