I loved 'Happily Ever Afters' and heard this was even better and I'm happy to agree. Both of these books have strong, Black characters who want love. But unlike Tessa, Lenore doesn't want the perfect boyfriend and lasting love, until she does. I love how vulnerable Lenore let herself be while still remaining the sarcastic badass she was. I was also happy to get a peak at how Tessa and Sam were doing. Wonderful ending too.
