Yeah whatever I loved this book. It’s not going to be for everyone, but it was certainly for me. This is not a romance (tho two people do fall in love). This book is about anger, per the author.
I love Vi. I understand her anger because it resembled much of mine. But she is better in so many ways. She’s brave and ambitious and cutthroat and funnnnnny. She was so funny. She won’t just *give* you a moment of peace, and I found it wildly entertaining. Yeah some people are gonna complain about the sweet summer child, etc. phrasing. Whatever. It didn’t bother me because it’s accurate.
Jack was a delightful POV to have. I loved watching him open up to the possibilities of life. He had his Troy Bolton moment. Watching someone learn fandom was adorably fun. I loved how he was so present in life even when he was uncomfortable. Also, I just love a dual POV for these kinds of stories.
Yay for Shakespeare. Yay for theater kids and nerds and bitches and trying new things.
