Hidden warrior by Lynn Flewelling

3.0

3.5 - The middle book in the Tamír Triad unfortunately is just that - very much a middle book, and while it flows along nicely with Flewelling's quick compelling style, the plot - though there are great scenes - somehow manages to plod along and not develop very much. The last... 30% is quite excellent, and holds a lot of what we've been waiting for throughout, but it's too little too late - I honestly wish the invasion plot had started like... at the end of part 1. The setup for the final book is excellent, and I can't wait to read it, but this felt more like a transition than a strong story in its own right.
