La maison aux pattes de poulet

The Baba Yaga myth revisited
In this story, we follow a brother and sister who come together around a singular heirloom: a house with chicken feet. At the same time, an entity is on the hunt for the house.
Beautiful moments, an important message, but a very uneven pace. I found myself getting a little bored with this read, the narrative being interspersed with falshback which made the adventure slow to get going. There's always a moment of calm after a bit of action, which is somewhat annoying, especially for a 500-page novel. However, the characters are diverse and endearing, though the secondary characters are rather mysterious. Shady areas that don't help immersion.
A pleasant read, with a reflection on history and memory, but not unforgettable.
