This is maybe the first book ever, in my life, that has called to me.
I was in a bookstore, during a self-imposed book ban (thanks Jamie), when I saw the bright pink and “queer.” So, I casually picked the book up. It had been signed, I later learned only a few hours earlier, “love your queer aunties,” by the author and photographer who live just around the corner. The whole thing felt meant to be.
I put in on my coffee table because it’s an absolutely gorgeous book. And at some point, I figured that I did actually want to read the stories inside. It’s a coffee table book and also very much not a coffee table book. It could be it’s own short story compilation.
Obsessed, all around.
