Yes, it's weird. Yes, it makes next to no sense. Yes, I absolutely love it.
I first read this in high school, when I first really got into Japanese literature. Even from the beginning, it's so very odd. I had to keep reading to see where it was going.
Whenever I told someone to read it, they'd ask me what it was about. "I can't explain it." Honestly, to this day, I still can't. Nonsensical, bizarre, and ridiculous. That is why I love it.
