Really liked the storyline, if a bit on the nose. Definitely the best little mermaid retelling I've read. Don't know if I agree with the reviews describing it as "feminist". Talking about the problems attributed with the patriarchy, but making little to no effort to combat them until the last chapter/off screen, is not what I generally expect from feminist literature.
