The Many Reflections of Miss Jane Deming
by J. Anderson Coats
I really enjoyed this book, but a few things about the pacing were a little off to me. The time Jane spent on the boats, while interesting, was a huge portion of this book and I wasn't expecting that. I also felt that the ending was a tad abrupt. More time actually in Seattle and seeing the payoff of Jane's fervent desire for education and connection with the community would have been great. I'd recommend this to any fans of historical fiction in my elementary school.
