This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada

So, when I first read This Mortal Coil ages ago, I loved it! It was a unique book, totally not something I normally would read mainly because I’m not really a fan of post apocalyptic books. However, this one was different with all the hackers and coders and I found it fascinating!

This series is about this girl named Catarina who basically finds out her entire life has been a lie and decides to take matters into her own hands, along with the help of others, to do everything they can to destroy a quickly spreading and mutating virus.

There’s a lot of hacking and coding, that I’m not familiar with, but I was fascinated with how some (gene-hackers) hacked how their bodies were built and would change the way they looked. It was very interesting.

From the beginning, I loved Catarina! She is one tough cookie and never let anything get her down, and she went through A LOT! I never got frustrated or annoyed with her and I always appreciate when the main character is relatable, even if she is a coder and is super smart, unlike me
