I went into this one blind having heard a few people say they really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this ended up not being my kind of thriller. It was very predictable and surface level. At one point maybe around the 70% mark I thought for a minute it was going to go in a different direction than what I’d expected all along, but nope, it got right back on the predictable path it was following. The characters felt flat, and I found many aspects to be unbelievable. The writing was very digestible and the story was easy to follow, and the plot moved quickly, but this is one I’ll forget very soon.
