this book is just proof mashing all your favourite tropes together won't make a good story.
because when you have non-existent worldbuilding, side characters without an ounce of personality and (at least in my opinion) a much too early and undeserved 'i love you,' not even your smut scenes can save you.
and the cherry on top? one of my least favourite tropes of all-time rearing its head at the end of the novel. because if i thought the feyre-rhys mind communication was bad, i apparently needed to be proven wrong with something worse.
