I chose this book because of the great history and excitement of moonshine and bootlegging. Also, I'm partial to books with settings in North Carolina.
However, this story moved so slowly. And, there was too much attention given to the main character's eating disorder. The writer's attempted help/solution for that problem was half hearted in my opinion. To me this story just was ok.
