The One Thing You'd Save by Linda Sue Park

3.0

This book is a brief but thoughtful read that explores a very basic idea: If there was a fire at your house, and if you knew that your family and pets were all safe, what is the one thing you would choose to save? I wish that the kids' voices were a little more distinctive as they do tend to blend in with each other, and there's little in the way of transition between kids/objects. But this lack of characterization does allow the book's concept to stand out.
