Bad Attitude by Sherrilyn Kenyon

4.0

I usually am not into romantic suspense. I started this book because I wanted to post the review of this book and the next book with a later giveaway. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. When I read a book I do it to relax, it may be part of my job as a blogger but I am unable to tear a book apart piece by piece and analyze every nuance of every single character and situation. I would go nuts and I would hate reading. I read this as a normal consumer, one that is mildly educated and wants a calming, relaxing read. This book did it for me. Sherrilyn Kenyon has a way of making something I wouldn't usually read (The League-futuristic romance) into something I can't wait to pick up, and this book is included.

The immediate heat between Steel and Syd was pretty great and it was completely believable even though we only see them together for a couple of days before they start shaking up. I felt I related to Steel a little bit, I am not a sniper but I know how the Army deals sometimes and sometimes the cards do not come up in your favor. I felt the author accurately portrayed the fierce love and simultaneous hatred that each soldier holds for it's parent organization. I love these characters and am now excited to read the next book. Oh and wait for the twist at the end there, it is a doozie! I actually didn't see it coming until it was too late. Stay sharp.
